What Is Electronic COC?
A clear explanation of Electronic COC and how it helps manufacturers control eCoC readiness, IVI XML, signing and certificate delivery.

If your vehicle data already lives in your production system, you may want to use it without entering the same information again. If your team prepares records in the platform, your priority may instead be bringing them back into your own archive. These are different integration needs, and you do not have to treat them as a single all-or-nothing project.
In this model, your production or business system is the starting source for vehicle data. The agreed information is transferred into the eCoC workflow through the configured integration. XML generation, validation, signing and submission then depend on the services and permissions available to your company. Your team does not necessarily need to use every manual data-entry feature in the platform.
The flow can also work in the other direction. If you need eCoC records in your internal archive or business software, retrieval may be your main requirement. Agree which records or outputs should be available and at which stage. A clear scope helps your team distinguish a draft from a record that has reached a later milestone.
If your data is prepared in-house, sending it to the platform may be the priority. If your team works in the platform but archives elsewhere, retrieval alone may be suitable. Where both needs exist, a two-way arrangement can be considered. Start with the work your team repeats today, then select the integration scope that addresses it.
Decide which system owns the source data, where corrections should be made and how the current record is identified. XML generation, signing and submission responses should remain distinct states. This is particularly useful when more than one system is involved: a transfer being complete should not be mistaken for the entire eCoC process being complete.
Using an ERP or SAP system does not automatically mean a ready-made connector exists for every installation. The data contract, access arrangements, company onboarding and required operations need to be assessed. The accompanying video explains the integration options conceptually; it does not demonstrate live API calls or a completed deployment.
Tell us which system you use and whether you need to send vehicle data, retrieve eCoC records or do both. We can then discuss an integration scope around your existing workflow.
